Companies in the life sciences industry face a variety of common business issues, including regulatory, intellectual property, research, and reimbursement. MetroWest Life Sciences Network Association (the Association) was formed to be the central voice to both protect and advance the interests of its member life sciences companies. Specifically, the Association was formed to promote the common business interests of its members by promoting the image of the industry as a whole, to serve as a central, unified voice for companies in the life sciences industry, and to monitor legislative activities at both a federal and state level and report any developments to its members. The Association will accomplish these goals through a variety of activities including educational as well as advocacy and communications to members. Education will take the form of seminars and the preparation of materials for members designed to address common issues facing members. Advocacy services will include lobbying on issues relating to members’ common business interests, communicating with regulators, and educating regulators and legislators on matters of importance to the industry.
Membership in the Association will be available to any company in the life sciences industry. Financial support will be primarily in the form of membership dues.
